CAMBIO VIA (CAMmini e BIOdiversità: Valorizzazione Itinerari e Accessibilità per la Transumanza) aims to improve the effectiveness of public actions in protecting, promoting, and developing the natural and cultural heritage represented by protected areas, parks, and historical sites along the transhumance route.

The material and immaterial accessibility of the rich heritage of the cross-border and island space will be enhanced to test a new model of environmental network that recognizes the economic, historical-cultural, tourist, and environmental value of traditional products, biodiversity, and rural paths in Tuscany, Liguria, Sardinia, the Southern Region, and Corsica.

The value of cooperation lies in the creation of an integrated and multidisciplinary natural and cultural offering that improves the area’s and islands’ attractiveness and competitiveness. Outputs include a strategic action plan, the Charter of the Custodian Communities, a methodology for defining the value of environmentally high-quality products, the Transhumance Label, a collection of best practices and tutorials on agricultural entrepreneurship, a georeferenced cross-border itinerary, and interventions to improve the material and immaterial accessibility of the heritage. Beneficiaries include local communities, public institutions, parks, protected areas, and tourists.
